April 27, 2019 is World Tai Chi and Qigong Day. In time zones across the world, Tai Chi and Qigong are practiced in communities large and small beginning at 10 AM.
The teachers of the Savannah Qigong Collaborative will lead an open air practice to celebrate this event. We will gather in Forsyth Park beginning at 9:30 AM. Group practice together starts at 10:00 AM. At the Fountain, look for folks in purple T-shirts who will point you to the group practice location. First timers / newcomers are welcome ! If you are new to Qigong, we suggest arriving by 9:45 for a brief orientation, so that you can join the group practice at 10:00 AM.
The combined practice will last 30-40 minutes. At 11:00, there will be an additional group practice session for anyone who missed the 10:00 practice session but would like to join in the fun.
This is a community, family friendly, free event.
(Note: This event coincides with the weekly Farmer’s Market. You may wish to arrive on the early side to secure parking.)
